Creative Look & Feel
Far From Home will be shot in an intimate vérité style, blending observational footage with emotionally grounded interviews. The visual tone will mirror the children’s journey—beginning with a moody, muted palette that reflects the weight of trauma and displacement, then gradually opening into brighter, warmer hues as we follow their moments of creativity, connection, and joy.
The camera will move gently and organically through their world—quiet in therapy sessions, fluid during art and dance. Interviews will be thoughtfully composed with natural light and textured backgrounds to honor the depth of personal stories. Archival elements and symbolic visuals—like the tiny suitcases—will be layered in with care. The goal is to create a cinematic experience that is raw yet hopeful, grounded yet lyrical and always centered on the emotional truth of the children and the resilience of the community around them.
